Bernard E. Schneider is an Attorney in Corona Del Mar, California. Mr. Schneider is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Commerce National Bank, and also serves as the Chairman of the Bank's Loan Committee. Mr. Schneider is also a member of the Asset Liability Committee, a member of the Compensation and Governance Committee and an ad hoc member of the Compensation and Governance and Community Reinvestment Act/Compliance Committees.

Mr. Schneider served as Chairman of Pacific National Bank from 1993 to 1999, and as Chairman of the bank's holding company, PNB Financial Group, from 1994 to 1999. In 1999, Western Bancorp purchased Pacific National Bank. Mr. Schneider was a director of Western Bancorp in 1999. In 2002, Mr. Schneider became a director of First American Trust, FSB of Santa Ana, California.

Prior to forming his sole proprietorship legal firm in July 2000, Mr. Schneider was a capital partner in the practice of law with McDermott, Will & Emery of Irvine from 1993 to 2000. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Schneider was associated with the firm of Buchalter Nemer Fields & Younger.

Mr. Schneider was admitted to the California bar in 1973. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
